Pushing: chest, shoulders and triceps
Cable triceps pressdown
Muscles worked: Triceps

How to do it
- Set up. Attach a bar or rope to a high cable. Stand close, feet hip-width, elbows tucked in at your sides and forearms roughly level.
- Move. Push the handle down until your arms are straight, keeping your elbows pinned to your sides and your shoulders down.
- Finish. Let the handle rise slowly back until your forearms are level again. Don't let the weight stack slam.
Common mistakes
- Elbows drifting forwards.
- Leaning over the bar and using bodyweight.
- Short reps.
