Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use FitFitCity, whatever device you use and however you browse. This page sets out what we aim for, what we know isn’t right yet, and how to tell us if something gets in your way.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the public website and the member area. In practice that means:

  • pages that work with a keyboard, with a “Skip to content” link at the top
  • text alternatives for our photos and exercise illustrations, and written step-by-step cues for every exercise
  • one clear main heading on each page, and headings in a sensible order
  • text you can zoom to 200% without losing content, and colours with enough contrast to read comfortably
  • pages marked as British English, so screen readers pronounce them properly
  • tables that still make sense on a small screen

How we check

We check pages with automated tools, including Lighthouse, and test new pages on a phone before they go live. We haven’t yet had an independent accessibility audit.

Known limits

  • The member area hasn’t had the same depth of testing as the public pages. Some interactive parts, such as the workout log, the food diary and progress charts, may be harder to use with a screen reader.
  • Exercise illustrations show positions, not movement. The written cues on each exercise page describe the whole movement, so you don’t need the pictures to follow along.
  • Payments happen on Stripe’s secure checkout, which Stripe designs and runs. If you have trouble paying, email us and we’ll help.

We’re working through these, and we’ll update this page as things change.

Tell us about a problem

If something on the site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email hello@fitfitcity.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
