Mobility and stretches
Wall slides
Muscles worked: Shoulders · upper back

How to do it
- Set up. Stand with your back, head and bottom against a wall, feet a small step away. Raise your arms to make a W shape, with elbows and wrists touching the wall if you can.
- Move. Slowly slide your arms up the wall towards a Y, only as far as you can keep your lower back and arms near the wall.
- Finish. Slide back down to the W and repeat. A slightly smaller range is fine; don't force it.
Common mistakes
- Arching away from the wall.
- Shrugging.
