How to do it

  1. Set up. Lie on your back with one leg straight on the floor. Bend the other hip and knee to about 90°, holding behind that thigh with both hands if you need support.
  2. Move. Slowly straighten the raised knee until you feel a gentle stretch at the back of the thigh, then bend it again. Point and flex your foot as you go.
  3. Finish. Keep it gentle and pain-free; stop if you feel tingling or pins and needles. Swap legs after your reps.
